You don’t have to eat less, only
better.
There will be plenty of
advantages, not just better blood sugar: lower blood pressure, fewer skin
problems, less digestive issues, thinking clearly, more energy and never moody.
So what must be utterly avoided?
If you think about it, you already know: grain-based desserts, yeast bread,
soft drinks (including energy drinks), pizza, alcoholic beverages, pasta
dishes, beef, dairy dessert, of course I don’t have to mention sugar.
If your diet is mainly based on
these foods, limiting and counting calories is completely useless. THIS is the
trick to fight diabetes!
Remember this: what you eat
matters, NOT the quantity.
Stick with foods that have lots
of healthy fats (possibly, I know it's difficult, never animal fats): you must avoid spikes in blood sugar. If you like carbs go for
the fruit and fruit only. Eat fish and lean food. Plenty of vegetables.
Processed food is like pure poison for you. Finally: exercise, avoid the couch
like hell!
